Spring Challenge winner 62-year-old Lorraine has gone from strength-to-strength with ProActive Fitness 24/7. Lorraine followed the nutritional plan (inc recipes), training plan, and personal trained each week to win the 2013 ProActive challenge with a 9.85kg loss in just six weeks. When ProActive Fitness relocated downtown opposite the Warehouse in September last year, Lorraine started her journey to fight the back pain she had been dealing with for the past 2-3 years. She started with flexibility and strength work under the guidance of trainers Rob and Sher. Within 3-4 months she reduced her pain levels from a self-reported 8-9 to a 4-5. She did not believe she could ever be pain free but with ongoing training, incorporating the Fit-Vibe (the only vibration training in town) she continued to strengthen her body and reduce her back pain. Now Lorraine is almost pain free. She enjoys doing her personalised programme at the club and includes spin classes to increase her fitness. ‘‘A year ago I could not have imagined doing a spin class but now I am in there loving every minute..’’ Lorraine beams. Rob and Sher encourage Lorraine to try different types of training in the club. ‘‘We need to keep our body challenged and working in different ways. ‘‘Creating a balanced, strengthened and flexible physique provides long-term benefits and a better quality of life,’’ personal trainer Rob says. Now a year down the track Lorraine is continuing with her workouts with the help of Rob and Sher to achieve her next fitness goal to ensure she has continued energy, strength and the best quality of life.
