Community Board Skype meeting

Four people who were not wearing life jackets while floating in inflatable dinghies in the Deans Bank area were each fined $300 on Monday night. Queenstown Lakes District Harbourmaster Marty Black said he was contacted by a concerned Albert Town resident and the three women and one man were summoned off the river. Mr Black said he hoped the incident would help other people understand that everyone had to wear a lifejacket at all times if they were on the water in a boat of any kind that was under 6m in length.
