Indie star on tour

After visiting Wanaka on a Stray bus as a traveller more than four years ago, Aucklandbased indie pop singer Little Lapin is returning to perform. Lapin, whose real name is Lucy Cioffi, will be in town to take part in a gig at Gin and Raspberry on Sunday night as part of her 10-stop nationwide tour. While she usually performs with her band, the tour will involve more intimate performances, stripped back to an acoustic guitar and vocal set. It will also coincide with the release of her new music video single Sound of Summer. Lapin said she only stopped in Wanaka for the day during her previous visit so she was excited about spending more time here. ‘‘I’ve heard many good things from friends about Wanaka and look forward to sharing my music with the town on my tour,’’ she said. Supporting her on tour will be 18-year-old singer song writer Eden Roberts.
