The event boosted a 42.2 full marathon and 48km bike event as well as shorter races. Wanaka’s Dougal Allan and Jo Williams won the mountain bike race sections with Grant Guise, of Wanaka, and Mel Aitken, of Dunedin, winning the marathon sections.
At the Takapuna Elite Tri Champs, Queenstown triathlete Fynn Thompson was second in the under-19s and seventh overall.
