It wouldn’t be winter in Central Otago without a spin around one of the area’s most unique attractions! Situated in picturesque Alexandra, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest outdoor ice skating rink is a full 60 x 30 meter Olympic sized Ice Hockey Arena!

Come along and skate in a friendly atmosphere with friends and family, or join up to one of the clubs! Relax in the warm, comfortable lounge, or register for an upcoming event. During the weekends, we want to encourage families to the rink with our special pricing as below. We have all the local schools, as well as schools from the wider Central Otago region, coming to the rink on a regular basis as part of their winter sports curriculum for tuition in figure skating, curling and ice hockey.

They also have their Ice Show in late July/early August. The inter club curling competition runs every Monday and Wednesday during May and June, with social games each Thursday.
