Ice carve winners
The winners of the 2014 Treble Cone Ice Carving Competition were Nemo, by Shaun Brown, followed by A Minion, by Lucy Waters. Honourable mentions went to Kermit, by Lisa Bate, and Olaf, by Callum Gibson. Competitors were given a weekend and a block of ice to create their Disneythemed wonders.
Katchafire ticket winners

Top tipples in Queenstown
Three Queenstown restaurants, Gantley’s, The Millhouse at Millbrook Resort and True South at The Rees, have been given excellent ratings by a New York-based magazine for their wine lists. Gantley’s sommelier and coowner Brent Rands said maintaining a wine list that met the strict criteria of Wine Spectator magazine awards programme required significant commitment.
