Third in the world

Queen­stown moun­tain biker Erin Greene was third in the Elite World 24 Hour Cham­pi­onships held in Scot­land on the week­end. A three-time New Zealand cross coun­try cham­pion and Coro­net Peak ski pa­troller, her pre­vi­ous high­est plac­ing in the world 24-hour champs has been fifth. She shared the podium with to cur­rent Na­tional Cy­clocross champ Kim Hurst and sec­ond placeget­ter Rickie Cot­ter, of Great Bri­tain. Greene told Face­book friends she was stoked with her plac­ing and lucky to have top support crew,

in­clud­ing part­ner Tom Lamb.
