Last week the Mir­ror ac­ci­den­tally omit­ted Queen­stown lakes Dis­trict Coun­cil­lor Calum MacLeod’s com­ments from an ar­ti­cle where coun­cil­lors com­mented on the first year of this term. After cam­paign­ing on a plat­form to have a costs cut for a new Wanaka Sports fa­cil­ity, MacLeod told us his opin­ion was un­changed and the pro­posed fa­cil­ity was be­ing built in the wrong place. How­ever, the majority had ruled and it was no time to fo­cus on get­ting a ’Bang for your Buck’ fa­cil­ity. Democ­racy was ro­bust in Wanaka, he said. ‘‘In the Dis­trict as a whole I think that it can, per­fectly nat­u­rally, be quite Queen­stown-cen­tric.
