Ready for a con­cert?

A ca­pac­ity crowd of 15,000 are ex­pected at the an­nual Gibb­ston Val­ley con­cert on Satur­day.

In­ter­na­tional rock­ers Heart, For­eigner and Three Dog Night per­formed last week­end at Whi­tianga and be­fore a crowd of 15,000 in Taupo, be­fore their fi­nal New Zealand show in Queen­stown on Satur­day.

Three Dog Night in­cluded crowd favourites Joy To The World and Mama Told Me (Not To Come) in their set.

They were fol­lowed by For­eigner led by Mick Jones, with Kelly Hansen on vo­cals, who had the crowd singing en­thu­si­as­ti­cally to hits in­clud­ing I Wanna Know What Love Is and Cold as Ice.

Rock sis­ters Ann and Nancy Wilson, oth­er­wise known as Heart, opened with their hit song Bar­racuda, and con­cluded the show with their own ren­di­tion of Zep­pelin’s Stair­way To Heaven.

A cou­ple of lucky con­cert­go­ers in Whi­tianga even had Happy Birth­day sung to them by the crowd.

Gates open at Gibb­ston at 11am on Satur­day.
