options for kids. Kelly Club Alexandra manager Sharelle Potter says the Club’s programme provides a wide variety of different activities for children with all sorts of interests.

‘‘We’re giving the kids a bit of choice with what they want to do.’’

An activity database is constantly updated by the Kelly Group NZ and the programmes are organised and run by local staff allowing the Kelly Club programmes to best meet the needs of the local community.

Children are encouraged, educated and entertained during their time on the programmes and the club provides a warm and friendly ‘‘home away from home’’.

Parents can continue their work confidently knowing their children are having a great time, Sharelle says.

Sharelle previously ran a Kelly Club in Dunedin and says the Club is a place kids want to go rather than have to go.

‘‘We used to have kids turning up all the time who weren’t meant to be there, to me, that’s the best thing,’’

The Club provides a programme every weekday, Monday to Friday from 2.45pm to 6pm, with flexible hours for parents and an afternoon tea and snack time provided by the Club.
