A mountain bike ride for all ages and abilities which forms part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Summer Series, another MTB ride, a half marathon, duathlon and road race. Rides are split into three categories. This ride takes approximately one and a half to three hours with roughly 35km of mountain terrain, metal roads, 600m climbs and four wheel drive tracks. The sport ride takes anywhere from an hour and 15 minutes to two hours and 15 minutes over four wheel drive tracks, 350m climbs and various other great mountain biking terrains. The recreation ride is great for families with children over 10 years, and first timers. It takes between 30-60 minutes and includes
10km of gravel roads and farm tracks.
Lake Dunstan Triathlon/Duathlon
Saturday January 2 from 9.30am. Lake Dunstan Boat Club, McNulty Inlet, Cromwell
$45 (individual), and $65 (team). This event is part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Summer Series (along with the Bannockburn MTB classic as previously mentioned) which includes two mountain bike rides, a half marathon and a road race. 300 swim, 22.4km road cycle and a 5.8km run 5.5km kayak, 22.4km road cycle and 5.8km run.

Lake Dunstan Cycle Challenge
Cromwell Sports Club, 7 Barry Avenue, Cromwell Sunday January 10 from 10am Early bird entry before December 3 - $55 This cycle challenge is made up of 96km of sealed roads from Cromwell to Lake Dunstan. It passes through Northburn, Tarras, Luggate, through Wanaka Rd and back to the Cromwell Sports Club. It also forms part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Summer Series.
