A moun­tain bike ride for all ages and abil­i­ties which forms part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Sum­mer Se­ries, another MTB ride, a half marathon, duathlon and road race. Rides are split into three cat­e­gories. This ride takes ap­prox­i­mately one and a half to three hours with roughly 35km of moun­tain ter­rain, metal roads, 600m climbs and four wheel drive tracks. The sport ride takes any­where from an hour and 15 min­utes to two hours and 15 min­utes over four wheel drive tracks, 350m climbs and var­i­ous other great moun­tain bik­ing ter­rains. The recre­ation ride is great for fam­i­lies with chil­dren over 10 years, and first timers. It takes be­tween 30-60 min­utes and in­cludes

10km of gravel roads and farm tracks.

Lake Dun­stan Triathlon/Duathlon

$45 (in­di­vid­ual), and $65 (team). This event is part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Sum­mer Se­ries (along with the Ban­nock­burn MTB clas­sic as pre­vi­ously men­tioned) which in­cludes two moun­tain bike rides, a half marathon and a road race. 300 swim, 22.4km road cy­cle and a 5.8km run 5.5km kayak, 22.4km road cy­cle and 5.8km run.

Lake Dun­stan Cy­cle Chal­lenge

Cromwell Sports Club, 7 Barry Av­enue, Cromwell Sun­day Jan­uary 10 from 10am Early bird en­try be­fore De­cem­ber 3 - $55 This cy­cle chal­lenge is made up of 96km of sealed roads from Cromwell to Lake Dun­stan. It passes through North­burn, Tar­ras, Lug­gate, through Wanaka Rd and back to the Cromwell Sports Club. It also forms part of the A1 Homes Cromwell Sum­mer Se­ries.
