From home­made pro­duce through to bak­ing and crafts; if you’re handy in the kitchen or art room the home in­dus­tries sec­tion is for you! Each en­try costs just $1 to en­ter, and th­ese can be posted with your en­try forms (from wanakashow.co.nz) to PO Box 79, Wanaka, 9343. En­tries by post close two days be­fore the show. If you pre­fer to en­ter at the show, sim­ply bring your en­try to the Show­ground Pav­il­ion from 9am to 5pm on Mon­day to Thurs­day on the week of the Show. En­tries close at 5pm on Thurs­day.

See who wins the best home­brew, the tasti­est toma­toes or the strangest­look­ing gar­den veg­etable. There are ju­nior com­pe­ti­tions avail­able in all sec­tions with en­tries from many of the lo­cal schools. View­ing of all arts and crafts ex­hibits starts at 9am on Fri­day. The Wanaka A and P Show is an ex­cel­lent chance to ex­hibit your work with some great prizes to be awarded. In the arts and crafts ex­hibit you will find art­work dis­plays from lo­cal schools and home-schooled chil­dren, dec­o­ra­tive work, em­broi­dery, patch­work and cre­ative fi­bres. All bak­ing ex­hibits must be on a round white pa­per / plas­tic plate and cov­ered with clear plas­tic. From flo­ral de­sign to best blooms and best roses, if you’re proud of your lat­est gar­den achieve­ments; en­ter them! Visit the Home In­dus­try Pav­il­ion to see some amaz­ing pieces of pho­tog­ra­phy in­clud­ing black and white por­traits, iPhoneg­ra­phy, Open Class and Ju­nior Pho­tog­ra­phy. Show off your green fin­gers by en­ter­ing the home grown veg­eta­bles com­pe­ti­tion.
