Why not give paintballing a go?

Central Otago Mirror - - FRONT PAGE -

If you’re looking for something a bit different these school holidays – a way to spend some of that inevitable energy of the youngsters will no doubt have stored up – then why not give paintballing a go?

It’s a fun way for the family to get together, get into the great outdoors – and have a blast.

Paintball Central on 1 Bannockburn Rd is the ideal location – not too far from Queenstown or Wanaka or Alexandra, meaning it’s easy to plan a trip out.

Owner Bronwyn Stewart and her staff are ready and waiting for you to suit up, and get out and about and shooting.

Set amongst 10 acres of pine trees, the course is set up to be both challenging and fun for all involved.

Safety is important, and Bronwyn and co give a safety briefing first up so that everyone knows what they’re in for when they’re ready to go in. Safety googles are essential and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult, making it the perfect school holiday family treat.

Paintball Central can accommodate any sized group from the smallest family group to a larger one looking for something a bit different for a special occasion.

The course itself is set out among pine trees, and the ground is sand-covered. You are supplied with safety googles and overalls as well as the all-important safety briefing. Then all you need to bring are a pair of sturdy boots and a fun attitude.

The course is set out with forts and obstacles to hide in and behind, so the only limit is your imagination and ability to strategise.

The paintballs are made up of gelatin capsules filled with vegetable dye, meaning they offer no harm to the environment.

With gas-powered rifles and a strong focus on safety and fun, Paintball Central is ideal for an outing these school holidays.

Bookings are essential – check out paintballcentral.co.nz to contact Bronwyn, or to make a booking. And have fun.
