Central Otago Mirror - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

The season of Xmas parties is upon us and I attended my first last weekend.

A big shout out to Tania Campbell and the Fitness For Life ladies for a fun night out on the Million Dollar Baby.

Unfortunately I peaked a little early and went home to bed before the real shenanigans began. Maybe it was tiredness or not enough to eat or a little too much Xmas spirit. Probably a combination but I was pleased I made the right decision.

I hear there was also plenty of raucous behaviour (and the odd streaker) at the Cromwell Races on Sunday and I’m sure there will be more as we tumble into the silly season.

Friday night was a timely reminder for me to take care of myself and others at a time when the joy and relief of holidays can sometimes lead to bad decisions being made.

Please keep yourself and those around you safe this year and, of course, enjoy the opportunity to relax and celebrate. I will.
