CROMWELL MAN CHARGED

A 23-year-old man has been charged with drink-driv­ing fol­low­ing a quad bike death in Cromwell. Palmer­ston man An­drew Paul Grubb, 20, was a pas­sen­ger on a quad bike when he fell from it on Septem­ber 11. He died from his in­juries five days later in Dunedin Hospi­tal. The man has been charged with care­less use of a motor ve­hi­cle while un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol. He is ex­pected to ap­pear in the Alexan­dra Dis­trict Court on De­cem­ber 6.
