THE BIG FRIENDLY READ
Central Otago children are being challenged to set a reading goal this summer of giant proportions. The theme for the Central Otago District Libraries’ annual summer reading challenge is the Big Friendly Read, in honour of the centenary of cherished children’s author Roald Dahl’s birth.
Children are invited to register for the challenge at any Central Otago Library and pick up their summer reading log. Joining the challenge involves participants setting a goal by deciding on the number of books they can read over the summer holidays and keeping a record of books read.
