Fine wine and food on offer
Not to be missed if you’re keen on ambient local wine and tasty regional food.
If it’s wine and food you’re looking for during the summer break, look no further than Old Cromwell.
The Cromwell Wine and Food Festival on Monday should not be missed if you’re keen on ambient local wine and tasty regional food.
Old Cromwell Inc secretarytreasurer Barbara Emmitt is expecting a crowd of about 800.
Held in the picturesque grounds of McNulty House in the Old Cromwell Town Historic Precinct, the festival showcases distinctive pinot noir, pinot gris and other wines from about 30 vineyards in and around Cromwell. Eateries will showcase traditional and unique foods from around the region including whitebait, paua patties, rabbit sausages and cheeses.
Local musicians will ensure a laid-back atmosphere for you to sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on the edge of Lake Dunstan and the majestic hills of Central Otago.
The festival runs from 3pm to 8pm with a fee on entry. It includes a wine glass to use and keep as a reminder of a great experience. Contact: Old Cromwell Historic Precinct, 71 Melmore Terrace, Cromwell, (03) 445 1746.
