Iconic ru­ral en­ter­tain­ers, The Topp Twins, are re­turn­ing to Wanaka in March to help cel­e­brate the 80th Wanaka A&P Show.

The pop­u­lar sis­ter-act last vis­ited the Wanaka Show in 2010.

The two-day show at­tracts 40,000 peo­ple each year and is one of the South Is­land’s premier life­style, agri­cul­tural and pas­toral events.

Show co­or­di­na­tor Jane Stalker said the Topp Twins were ‘‘fan­tas­tic, fam­ily-friendly tal­ent’’ and ‘‘al­ways up for a great time’’.

‘‘Jools and Lynda and their hi­lar­i­ous al­ter-egos will be in fine form.’’

The Topp Twins will en­ter­tain twice a day on both show days.

Lynda Topp said they were ex­cited to come back and would be bring­ing Ken and Ken, Camp Mother and Camp Leader with them, as well as some new songs.

‘‘We’re also bring­ing our Amer­i­can cow­boy friend to show him what a real A&P show is like,’’ she said.

The show in­cludes draw­card eques­trian and live­stock events, the Beef + Lamb NZ Golden Lamb Awards (the Glam­mies), sheep shear­ing and wood chop­ping de­mon­stra­tions and the Jack Rus­sell race.

There will be more than 400 trade stalls, a ded­i­cated Kids Zone and a Life & Style mar­quee.

WHERE: Wanaka Show­grounds, Ard­more Street, March 10-11, 2017. Gates open 8am-5pm.
