Four de­li­cious, sim­ple smooth­ies

Smooth­ies are a great way to start the day as well as up your fruit and vege in­take. They’ll also give you a good boost of vi­ta­mins and min­er­als in some­thing that’s easy to drink.

❚ 2 ba­nanas (pre-frozen)

6-8 med­jool dates, stones re­moved and roughly chopped

❚ cup al­monds, roughly chopped ❚ A good pinch ground cin­na­mon

❚ 2 cups milk (cow’s, al­mond, or soy)

Tip: if you don’t have frozen ba­nanas, use fresh ba­nanas and a small hand­ful of ice cubes.

Place all in­gre­di­ents in a blender or food pro­ces­sor and blend un­til smooth.
