I wasn’t en­tirely sure that staff were happy to see us when we first ar­rived, de­spite the fact there weren’t many other cus­tomers there at the time. But once we got through or­der­ing, things got eas­ier and we were much charmed by the for­eign chef who bounced out of his kitchen hide­away to de­liver our meals with un­ex­pected flam­boy­ance.
