Poison drop on Sugarloaf
The Central Otago District Council is warning people to keep dogs on leads and closely watch children while a poison drop is carried out on a popular walking track near Cromwell.
Chief executive Leanne Mash said council had joined with surrounding landowners to control rabbits on the Sugarloaf in a responsible and practical manner.
‘‘On this occasion ORC served council with a notice to address the pest rabbit problem and we are just one part of a wider programme in the area.’’
