Pure New Zealand Ice Cream directors Richard and Tracey Bullock have clocked up their 41st award in just over six years in business in Wanaka.

The Bullocks won a gold medal and best in category award (dairy free) for their blackcurrant and coconut gelato at the recent 2018 New Zealand Ice Cream Awards.

They also won five silver medals for their salted caramel, dark chocolate, chocolate, and boysenberry ice creams and their berry fusion sorbet, all made without preservatives, synthetic stabilisers, emulsifiers, gelatin, artificial colours or flavours.

The medal haul takes their tally to 40 awards from the New Zealand Ice Cream Awards and one from Cuisine Magazine.

The Bullocks started making ice cream from a small Anderson Road factory in 2012 and now supply a wide range of outlets and supermarkets around the country.

Production this year has grown 34 per cent on last year, so they have employed a new ice cream maker to support Richard, in addition to summer casual staff.
