Riding for men’s sake
Distinguished Gentlemen will gather in Waipukurau on Sunday as part of a global ride to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer research and men’s mental health.
Ross Arthur, vicepresident of the East Coast Red Knights firefighters’ motorcycle club, is the host of this year’s Napier Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
“The ride is an opportunity for motorcyclists to get together, dress in their most dapper gear, and ride around, raising awareness, and funds, in support of prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
“We will be meeting at the Mobil service station in Waipukurau at 9am on Sunday then riding through town, on to the Rose and Shamrock in Havelock, through town and on to Bunnings in Hastings for a sausage sizzle, then through Clive and up to the Soundshell in Napier.”
After a meet-and-greet at the Soundshell, the riders will head out to the Puketapu Pub for lunch.
