THUMBS UP & DOWN

CHB Mail - - News -

■ Thumbs up: to the organisers of this year’s Ross Shield tournament. Awesome venue, fantastic atmosphere, great job everyone, thank you, from a happy parent.

■ Thumbs up: to the CHB Food Basket and all the volunteers that run it and shops that help out with food. Such a good idea and a real life-saver for school holidays and hungry kids.

■ Thumbs down: to the CHB Council for awarding another contract out of town. That’s at least three big ones … So much for supporting local businesses. Remember, it’s election time in 12 months and locals will vote for those who think local.

■ Thumbs down: to the two drivers that use Bibby St as a race track every Sunday and every evening. Slow down before you kill somebody, —this is a residential area.
