A capella ex­trav­a­ganza

An event for a capella en­thu­si­asts is com­ing to the city.


The show is an op­por­tu­nity for Christchurch to see a show of world class cal­i­bre singers with the world cham­pi­ons shar­ing the stage at Burn­side High School’s Aurora Cen­tre.

They will joined by na­tional champs Christchurch City Cho­rus, Burn­side High Boys’ School cho­rus Male­strom, The Vo­cal Net­work male quar­tet and L’At­ti­tude quar­tet.

New Zealand’s top women’s bar­ber­shop quar­tet. L’At­ti­tude won the 2017 Sweet Ade­lines re­gional com­pe­ti­tion in Dunedin in May.

The four fe­male singers – from Christchurch, Gis­borne and Nel­son – are head­ing to Las Ve­gas for the In­ter­na­tional Sweet Ade­lines Quar­tet com­pe­ti­tion in Oc­to­ber.

Other per­form­ers will in­clude Cash­mere High Girls’ School’s Bar­ber­shop Cho­rus, The Can­ter­bury Plains­men, After­shock quar­tet and Slove­nian Gospel Trio called Ko­zlevcˇar.

Guests can expect a rock­ing 120-minute show of top a capella acts.
