My eight week challenge isn’t going so well.
I’ve been a bit flat, and have been looking for motivation and inspiration to aid my perspiration - hunting through Pinterest, signing up to apps, stalking Facebook pages – all from the comfort of my couch.
So I was a little surprised when I found the best inspiration right in my own gym.
A young woman I train with, Casey, is getting real results. She’s given up smoking, she’s training five times a week, she attends every bootcamp session, and she’s toned, taught and terrific.
I caught up with her after a Saturday bootcamp that had me in a filthy mood, and which she smiled and sailed through. She was happy, upbeat and incredibly motivating.
It was a very good reminder for me that 1) habit and consistency are the tricks to progress and 2) I don’t need to go hunting for inspiration. It’s right here. I just needed to open my eyes.
