Rac­ing driv­ers crowd the top end of The Sun­day Times 2012 Rich List for Bri­tish sports­men with Scot Johnny Dum­fries fifth, with £110 mil­lion from land, mo­tor rac­ing and art.

Ed­die Irvine comes a sur­pris­ing 7th on 80m from prop­erty and mo­tor rac­ing. Jody Scheck­ter 8th on 60m from mo­tor rac­ing and de­fence train­ing. Lewis Hamil­ton 9th on 55m. Jen­son But­ton 10th on 53m. David Coulthard, Nigel Mansell, and Dave Richards are tied at 50m on 11th. Sir Jackie Ste­wart is 17th with 42m and Da­mon Hill is a com­par­a­tively dis­tant 55th with 19m.

Amer­i­can rac­ing driv­ers didn’t make it into the top end of Forbes Magazine’s Rich List but team owner Roger ‘The Cap­tain’ Penske, made it to 386th with $US 2.7 bil­lion in his money­box!
