Twin Rivers 2014 Christchurch

Classic Driver - - NEWS -

Another highly successful Twin River Classic Car show was held in Christchurch on Sunday 9th of March at the Christchurch Showgrounds.

Although the weather on the day was mediocre, this was not an applicable word for the presentation and display of the assembled cars.

It is estimated that close to 400 Classic Cars were on display for the 2500 visitors, making it a great day out for Classic car enthusiasts at an event worth attending annually to support local car clubs.

The organisers, the Rotary Club of Avonhead, are to be congratulated on assembling this great variety of classic cars from around the district.

We are advised that they raised $11,500 for the Child Cancer Foundation at this year’s event.

This year the winners of the five categories were provided with a 12 month subscription to Classic Driver magazine.

The winner of Best Car in Show was also presented a Meguiars Car Care package from Smits Group. This Prize went to Andy Burns of West Melton with his impeccably restored 1908 International.

Best British 1967 Jaguar Mark 2 owner John McKeown

Best American 1971 Dodge Challenger owner Gary Hunt
