SIGN EMBARRASSMENT

Clutha Leader - - OUT & ABOUT -

Tuapeka-Lawrence Community Board, red-faced over the confusing orientation of a map in the town, has deferred making a decision about how to rectify the mistake until they can see a mock-up. The map was originally intended to go on the northern side of the main street, but through a series of errors ended up on the southern side, with the arrows pointing in the wrong direction. At a meeting last Wednesday, the board discussed either finding an alternative site on the northern side, or re-drawing the map to a southern orientation. There was also talk of separating the town map and Clutha District map, and orientating them accordingly to the chosen site.
