It’s all about ‘Loving the Bruce’...

The Milton-based Tokomairiro Community Development Project has morphed into Project Bruce.

Named after the Bruce ward within the Clutha District, Project Bruce is a community-led development initiative for the people of Milton-Tokomairiro, Waihola, Taieri Mouth and the wider rural communities.

Development worker Lucy Hardy, who took up a post at the Tokomairiro Community Hub in Milton in June, said the project was all about ‘‘Loving the Bruce’’.

‘‘We’re keen to hear what everyone loves about our community, and how people would like to get involved to help make it even better.’’

In the meantime, people were invited to stop by for a chat and share with community-building ideas and activities.

‘‘Project Bruce will use everyone’s feedback to identify how we can help you to put your ideas into action.’’

The project is asking five questions that will take five minutes to answer, and can be done online attondis or on a postcard that will be available at key places around the community.
