Take care at parties

Coastal News - - Front Page - By CONSTABLE GREG RESINK Whangamata Police

Saturday night was party night.

Police were called to an address to find 60 to 70 youths, with some heavily intoxicated, jumping over fences and being a general nuisance.

Parents, please take more care about your legal requirements when hosting a party.

Police have information available to you outlining the dos and don’ts.

Again, more domestic-related incidents — they seem to be on the rise. Please look out for each other and protect those kids.

It appears the message is still not getting through to some — the drink drivers are back! Well, not for long.

A woman will appear in the Waihi District Court after blowing over 1000mgs.

Not sure how someone can walk, let alone drive a car in that state.

I say it again — keep your dirt bikes out of the pines!

A male was trespassed for riding his dirt bike after police stopped him.

You risk losing the right to host or be part of organised events, and bike clubs will get booted out.

Bikes are a major fire risk. For any information, as it appears some still fail to listen, call Coastline Security.

Police plucked a few gang members in and out of town over the weekend — no problems.

They all said it was great riding conditions.

Make sure your licences are up to date and current, and parents, please ensure your little darlings are sticking to their licence conditions.

Police have already dished a few infringements out — suddenly you think of what cool things you can get for $150.

Daylight saving is here, so enjoy the extra hours of light — should be some good weather on the way soon.

Don’t forget coffee with a cop tomorrow (Sept 29) 10am — 11am at blackies ($4 coffees, so big thanks to the Michael and team at BLACKIES). See ya there.

Roll on summer.
