This week two calls required the brigade’s response.
On Wednesday we attended a light truck roll over just south of Whangamata. Luckily, no injuries resulted from the incident.
On Friday a medical assist call came through, although we were stood down while on route.
Since the Fire and Emergency NZ rollout in July the change of systems and policies have improved the service even more.
The huge task of change is under way and it will take several years to implement them all across the board.
What has stayed the same is our commitment to the protection of all those in the community combining with our rural fire force services in Onemana and Whiritoa.
Wishing you a safe school holiday and fun week — Nigel.
