Thanks, market volunteers

Coastal News - - News -

Last Saturday the Lions Whangamata Market was enjoyed by thousands on a glorious sunny day. It was a resounding success.

Whangamata Lions now wish to publicly acknowledge the vital part played by the many local volunteers who generously turned out as “Lions for the day” to help.

Thanks also must go to the many local businesses and clubs for their ongoing support. And, last but not least, genuine appreciation is offered to every local resident who contributes the never-ending supply of books for the book sale.

It is therefore certainly appropriate that market proceeds are returned by Lions for the benefit of the community.

Lions and their helpers will again work together to create more community fun and excitement when the next Lions Market is held on January 26, 2019, Auckland Anniversary Weekend Saturday.
