New Zealand is fortunate to have Sidart, a dining room where creativity, craftsmanship and competency meld beautifully to deliver a fully memorable dining experience. Chef Sid Sahrawat (right) just keeps getting better, bringing his considerable skills to the plate with the confidence to pair artichoke with coffee, quali with gingerbread, parmesan wi th meringue. The food is textural, always perfectly seasoned and ever more playful. Sahrawat has truly mastered the degustation art form, ensuring an expertly modulated and harmonious flow to the meal, each beautifully presented plate suggesting the promise of the next. In all aspects, the Sidart experience is highly polished. The dining room is comfortably intimate and quietly sophisticated, leaving the food to provide the accents. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, with servers expertly versed in the myriad aspects of each dish and the most appropriate wine partner.
