Con­ver­sa­tioNZ is a new move­ment that aims to foster con­nec­tions and con­ver­sa­tions within New Zealand’s food com­mu­nity, in or­der to pro­mote the coun­try in­ter­na­tion­ally as a food des­ti­na­tion. The brain­child of Gi­ulio Sturla (pic­tured right, chefowner of Lyt­tel­ton’s Roots), it kicks off in Christchurch on 4 May with a dis­cus­sion at XCHC. Speak­ers in­clude chefs Michael Mered­ith (Mered­iths), Be­van Smith (River­stone Kitchen) and Matt Lam­bert (of New York’s The Mus­ket Room).
