In Wholefood Sim­ply Bianca Slade de­liv­ers ex­actly what she prom­ises on the cover – a lit­tle bit of nat­u­ral in­dul­gence. You’ll find quick and easy wholefood treats that you can whip up in a flash with­out com­pro­mis­ing on taste. To sweeten, Slade uses co­conut sugar, 100% maple syrup or honey and 100% fruit spreads that are read­ily avail­able from the su­per­mar­ket. Although you don’t get much of a sense of the per­son be­hind the recipes, this col­lec­tion has evolved from Slade’s blog of the same name. The recipes are, for the most part, short, sharp and no-non­sense. The fudge and de­li­cious things sec­tion caught my eye with an amaz­ing se­lec­tion of bite-size good­ies, as did the cookie-dough truf­fles. Although I’m a bit over the bliss ball move­ment, the choc-fudge ver­sion made with Med­jool dates, cashew but­ter, honey and vanilla will be­come a week­end project to tempt my boys away from the Tim Tams and the le­mon bliss balls will be just for me...
