Leading the way in safety culture
Invercargill’s EIS Automation and Electrical won the ACC Work Place Safety Award at the Westpac Southland Business Excellence Awards on October 18. The firm has operated almost 12 years without a lost time incident.
The multi-disciplined project engineering, installation and maintenance company operates in areas such as process control, automation, compliance, safety systems and industrial electrical services.
EIS CEO Dean Addie believes the award is the result of good governance, leadership, management, empowerment and team engagement.
The company was also named Supreme Business of the Year, Business of the Year 15 FTE Plus, and was a finalist in the Business Sustainability category.
Head judge Warrick Low says: “EIS has fulfilled the idea of business excellence, where excellence and improvement are ongoing targets for every element of the organisation.”
