Innovation and growth at Emex
This year's EMEX event will feature an entire day devoted to innovation, capability and growth. One of the highlights is an independently chaired panel discussion including New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's (NZTE) Craig Armstrong.
He says: “The panel will allow businesses to gain valuable insights through its mix of experts giving presentations, open discussion and taking questions.
“With real stories and recent activity this will be practical rather than theoretical. Manufacturing is vital to our economy, and rapidly shifting business models require a better understanding of the capability and approaches that respond to market needs.
“The panel will look at what is being and should be done to help manufacturers succeed.
“The focus will be on the role of, and how, these organisations making up the panel are working together to help New Zealand businesses address problems and respond to the need to be innovative and dynamic.
Format will be by using stories of how some EMEX exhibitors and other local manufacturers are innovating, accessing required skills and opening new markets.
“We'll see what challenges people have and let them see how others can help and how government agencies and others are working together to overcome constraints.
“We want people to seek assistance so we can share with them how existing businesses are making the most of what's available. The panel discussion will discover a great deal about skills-based innovation and growth.”
