3M has extended its active hearing communications product line with the Peltor Lite-Com plus two-way radio headsets.

This high-performance hearing protector has a built-in radio for short-range communication with other headsets and two-way radios on the same frequency.

Microphones with level dependent function for ambient listening increase wearer safety because the person can hear his surroundings, e.g. warning signals.

An external audio input allows for connection to an external phone or portable two-way radio, regardless of frequency.

The noise cancelling speech microphone with VOX functionality enables hands- free communication in noisy environments.

3M Peltor has improved its previous Lite-Com III headset with new electronics, a more rugged design, an advanced voice guided menu, a new lithium-ion rechargeable battery, extended multi level menu with submenu, dynamic boom microphone, limiter function on external input and continuous tone coded squelch system, 38 channels and digital coded squelch signalling.

The 3M Peltor Lite-Com Plus offers SLC80 of 31dB for the head band and helmet attached version and 30dB for the neck band version.

“Whether you work in a small team or a large group, noisy surroundings should not prevent you from working effectively while protecting your hearing,” says Luciana Macedo, the firm’s senior occupational hygienist.

“When a group is linked by a Peltor Lite-Com Plus two-way radio headset they can complete work tasks efficiently and most importantly, safely.”
