A big ‘thank you’ must go this month to Bill Buckley and Buckley Sys­tems for host­ing the Main­te­nance So­ci­ety’s net­work­ing evening on Wed­nes­day 16 Oc­to­ber.

Buckley Sys­tems man­u­fac­ture and sup­ply elec­tro­mag­net­ics to more than 80 per cent of the world’s mar­kets. Judg­ing by the attendance of 120 en­gi­neers (a record num­ber) there is no doubt th­ese events are be­com­ing very popular in­deed.

As well as ex­cel­lent cov­er­age of the his­tory, the skills and fu­ture at Buckley Sys­tems, at­ten­dees were treated to ex­ten­sive guided site tours. Thanks go to those staff mem­bers who acted as guides and took the time to an­swer ques­tions from the tour groups.

Speak­ing to a num­ber of at­ten­dees the in­di­ca­tions is that be­ing among peers and dis­cussing mu­tual en­gi­neer­ing top­ics is of a great ben­e­fit.
