A smarter way to carry out on-site maintenance

Onsite maintenance can be a very time consuming process, particularly if you are called on-site to fault find or arrive onsite to find there are no test points installed. PT Hydraulics now offers serv-Clip, a product that enables on-site servicing to be carried out much faster and with considerable cost savings. Serv-Clip offer a range of pipe measuring points and sensors suitable for tubes operating at pressures up to 630Bar (9100 PSI). Fitted to pressurised or non-pressurised systems in approximately three minutes, serv-Clip can be used on 10-65mm tube or 3/8” - 2” tube in working temperatures from -40 to +120 degrees Celsius.

Serv-Clip requires no LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) and no cutting of tubing; they are simply installed by screwing the clip onto a cleaned pipe/tube surface. Once securely attached to the tube, a specially shaped steel needle is inserted through the wall of the tube above the screw head. The screw head is then screwed back slightly to reveal a small contained hole allowing the pressure to be analysed immediately without interrupting the hydraulic system operation.

The system is completely leak proof and the possible contamination of hydraulic fluid by inserting new pipe into the system is eliminated. Once the serv-Clip is installed, it can be left in place for future maintenance without compromising the operational safety or integrity of the hydraulic system.
