Ruggedised distributed EtherCAT data acquisition modules release
Dewesoft has released Krypton, its latest ruggedised distributed EtherCAT DAQ modules. The Krypton DAQ modules are engineered to weather all conditions and operate flawlessly in cold, hot, dusty, mud, snow and water environments. They are shock and vibration-proof, milled out of a full block of aluminium filled with rubber. They are a fully compliant EtherCAT, IP67 rated and operate at temperatures from -40˚C - 85˚C.
As the Krypton modules are so small, they allow for perfect placement near the source of your data. Connect with a single cable for data, power and synchronisation and because it is a short distance you can save costs and improve on signal quality. The Data link allows up to 100 metres distance from module to module, or they can be stacked up in blocks using a simple lock mechanism.
Krypton modules are connected to your computer via industrial standard ethernet connection (EtherCAT protocol) which provides 100 MBit data link for hundreds of channels with more than 10 kHz data rate per channel and perfect synchronisation between devices. It also automatically detects IP address configuration and allows the user to enjoy the full power of Dewesoft X Software which is included with every Krypton module.
