Motors & Drives

DEMM Engineering & Manufacturing - - NEWS -

STM says it never needs to ask “so what does it need to drive?” because it knows that for any product, small, medium, large, perishable, light, heavy, there will be an STM gear drive that’s more than capable of doing the job.

STM also says it has the widest range of gear drives known to mankind, and since it’s been a stockist, it has never been presented with a problem that couldn’t be solved by an STM gear drive.

For low speed, high torque requirements it has fitted STM gear drives on to mobile calf mixers, rotators for welding pipe, hydro-cooling conveyors for vegetables through to car rotating platforms and even a dumb waiter, which is a small elevator (lift) in a wall that can be loaded with groceries, luggage and other items and sent on its way with the push of a button items to meet the operator at the top of the stairs ready for unloading.

The STM high efficiency helical gear drive range also has a long list of applications and is most suitable for handling bulk (heavy) materials such as bark and shingle and when in action for long periods of time – in some cases 24/7. They are also expected to work in harsh environments – whether that’s outdoors or in a wet processing factory.

All of STM gearbox ranges are ideal for engineering innovations as they easily adapt to a wide range of input and output f langes.

Whether it’s a pie making unit, bottle labelling or bag sealing system – once again STM will have a suitable gear drive, promises the company.
