WHEN IT comes to unplanned downtime, NHP says it understands how costly and frustrating outages can be and the need to quickly transform data into actionable and real-time information.

With extensive local industry knowledge and experience, the company offers a ‘complete’ portfolio of intelligent solutions that help customers to achieve the best results and keeps them at the forefront of Smart Motor Control technology.

Smart Motor Control provides key diagnostic information that enables optimised performance with real-time access to operation and performance trends. This technology diagnoses problems early and identifies where they are, which may reduce production losses significantly. Unplanned downtime is reduced to a minimum and proactive maintenance can be scheduled to avoid further issues, promises NHP.

At the core of this state- of-the-art technology is the new Allen-Bradley SMC-50 soft starter with internal bypass incorporating advanced motor control and protection.

Designed for customer flexibility, this product features advanced monitoring, greater protection, superior communication and network integration capabilities to increase efficiency and keep applications running smoothly, whilst easing troubleshooting during costly downtime. As well as this, the soft starter also includes a host of operating modes and HMI/personal computer setup for process optimisation. The technology consists of Sensorless Linear Speed Acceleration and Deceleration providing a superior soft start and soft stop, ideal for any application.

Available in nominal ratings of 108 through to 480A at 415V AC and 690V AC, NHP says this device ensures greater functionality and effectiveness for controlled motor starting, whilst also providing flexibility to meet ever- changing requirements and ensuring connectivity, efficiency and equipment safety.
