on a kitchen ta­ble, but ripe fruit will keep for much longer on a tree, or for many weeks in the fridge. If you have a glut of lemons, squeeze and strain the juice and pour into ice-cube trays to freeze. Pack the frozen cubes into plas­tic bags and thaw as re­quired.
