CRASH CLOSED ROAD

Counties Manukau Police attended to a vehicle crash on Whitford Road last Sunday, where a car had collided with a power pole, which fell down as a consequence. A person was taken to Middlemore Hospital with moderate injuries. Whitford Road was closed in both directions for some time between the intersections at Somerville Road and Broomfields Road. Diversions were in place while the area was cleared.
