Bach Mu­sica NZ is hold­ing a con­cert that will take its au­di­ence on a jour­ney through Bo­hemia and Ger­many.

to Dvorˇa´k and Schu­bert,

Bach Mu­sica’s third con­cert this year, this Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 8.

It will open with An­tonı´n Dvorˇa´k’s Bi­b­li­cal Songs, while the sec­ond half fea­tures Franz Schu­bert’s Mass No. 5 in A Flat Ma­jor, which is also called his Missa Solem­nis.

Bach Mu­sica spokes­woman Eva-Maria Hess says it’s de­lighted to wel­come back in­ter­na­tional so­prano Morag Atchi­son and mezzo so­prano Catrin Johns­son.

‘‘The award-win­ning vo­cal pair will be joined by one of Aus­tralia’s finest lyric col­oratura tenors Henry Choo and young Samoan bass Joel Amosa, who has al­ready won sev­eral awards in both New Zea- land as well as Aus­tralia,’’ she says.

‘‘Un­der the ba­ton of in­ter­na­tion­ally-ac­claimed con­duc­tor and mu­sic and artis­tic direc­tor Rita Paczian this ex­cit­ing con­cert is one not be missed.’’
