De­vel­op­ment of ma­jor in­fra­struc­ture for hy­dro­gen­pow­ered fuel-cell ve­hi­cles is go­ing ahead after a suc­cess­ful round-the world “test drive”.

Ac­cord­ing to the de­vel­op­ers, Daim­ler and BOC gases par­ent com­pany the Linde Group, the ini­tia­tive places Ger­many at the in­ter­na­tional fore­front of hy­dro­gen in­fra­struc­ture de­vel­op­ment, set­ting a blue­print for oth­ers to fol­low. Over the coming three years, Daim­ler and Linde plan to con­struct an ad­di­tional 20 hy­dro­gen fill­ing sta­tions in Ger­many, thereby en­sur­ing a sup­ply of hy­dro­gen pro­duced purely from re­new­able re­sources for the steadily in­creas­ing num­ber of fuel-cell ve­hi­cles on the roads.
