This re­quires com­pa­nies to have ro­bust sys­tems in place to en­sure best prac­tices in waste and en­ergy, while en­sur­ing that any by-prod­uct from the print­ing process does not harm the environment • Is work­ing to­wards PEFC and FSC cer­ti­fi­ca­tion across all of its pro­duc­tion lines, so not only the pa­per, but the process it­self will be cov­ered, al­low­ing the lo­gos to be dis­played on prod­ucts • The com­pany aims to have all its sites ISO 14001 cer­ti­fied by next year • Aims to bring com­pany car­bon emis­sions down from 89 per cent to 85 per cent of 2006 lev­els by the end of this year • Joined more than 80 other New Zealand com­pa­nies to sign a Zero Harm Work­places pledge demon­strat­ing PMP’s pub­lic com­mit­ment to im­prov­ing health and safety across its busi­ness • Pur­chases from sus­tain­able sources wher­ever pos­si­ble and is work­ing with its sup­pli­ers to de­velop less harm­ful inks, washes, and so­lu­tions con­stantly mon­i­tors water and elec­tric­ity con­sump­tion and con­sid­ers the im­pact of pur­chas­ing new equip­ment
