Fund­ing is be­ing sought for a ‘Park Su­per­mar­ket’ in the Nether­lands – a 74 acre farm of sorts di­vided into sec­tions de­pend­ing on the food be­ing grown or reared on the farm.

The con­cept is the work of Van Ber­gen Kolpa ar­chi­tects, which has de­vised meth­ods by which fruit and veg­eta­bles un­able to be grown in the Dutch cli­mate (such as ki­wifruit) will have care­fully con­trolled mi­cro­cli­mates. The pro­duce is har­vested and taken im­me­di­ately to the cus­tomers shop­ping at the park.
